We trade in top quality — preferably from the region.
Since our founding, we have followed a clear principle: high-quality food comes from intact landscapes and healthy animals. Regionality is not a trend at Havelland Express, but part of our DNA. Wholesome, full of flavor, and transparent — that is why regional diversity still forms the core of our range today. We work exclusively with partners who share our values, know all producers personally, and regularly verify standards on site.
Sustainability is our commitment.
Our production and logistics are ISO- and EMAS-certified. Resource-conserving agriculture, species-appropriate animal husbandry, and the preservation of regional biodiversity are central to us. We ensure reasonable rearing, slaughter, and butchery practices and cultivate respectful relationships with employees, partners, and customers.

Sustainability for us does not end at national borders. Together with our chocolate partner Original Beans, we are committed to fair trade, climate protection, and transparent supply chains. Our Chocolate Foodprint 2024 clearly shows how pleasure and responsibility go hand in hand.
Our 2024 results with Original Beans:
- 6,400 trees preserved or reforested
- 4,072,478 kg of CO₂ sequestered
- 21,205 kg of cocoa beans in direct trade partnerships
- 3.4 to 5.2 times a living income for cocoa farmers
