Since 2018, the restaurant has stood for exceptional meat craftsmanship – uncompromising quality, elegant ambiance, and a surprisingly diverse cuisine.
Beef45 is far more than a steakhouse. It is a place where first‑class, regionally sourced beef is served alongside exclusive cuts from Argentina and New Zealand. Whether tender filet, aromatic beef cheeks, or creative specialties – here, meat becomes a true passion. The cuisine is European‑inspired, focusing on clear flavors, seasonal sides, and elegant presentation.
The interior blends understated elegance with a luxurious flair: dark walls, black marble tables, velvet‑blue chairs, and golden accents – including a golden bar topped with a gorilla sculpture. With only 20 seats, the restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere, perfect for special occasions.

Since summer 2025, Thorsten Hendrich has shaped the culinary profile of the exclusive meat restaurant Beef45 at Hotel Palace Berlin as head chef. With his passion for honest cooking, his refined sense of flavor, and his talent for vegan alternatives, he has breathed new life into the restaurant – and with noticeable enthusiasm.
Originally characterized by a sous‑vide focus, Hendrich has transformed the concept into a versatile stage for diverse preparation methods. Whether teriyaki onglet, Black Angus tartare served under a smoke glass, or butter‑tender filets – the meat dishes are a feast for connoisseurs. At the same time, vegans also find appealing options.
His philosophy is based on respect, authenticity, and enjoyment. In working with suppliers and guests, Hendrich values approaching everyone at eye level, humor, and honest guidance. He does not expect mere order taking, but proactive recommendations and a culinary partnership. His goal is to establish Beef45 as a place where meat culture is reimagined – and in the long term, even expanded into a “nose‑to‑tail” concept.
