Kreuzberg’s Heart Beats to a Grand Hotel Rhythm
In the vibrant center of Kreuzberg, at Oranienplatz 17, stands a house that unites history, culture, and culinary finesse in a truly unique way: Orania.Berlin. What began in 1912 as an office building and later hosted a café, cabaret, department store, and nightclub, is today a boutique grand hotel with soul. After decades of changing uses, the building was purchased in 2008 by Dietrich von Boetticher and transformed together with hotelier Dietmar Müller‑Elmau into a hotel that opened its doors in 2017. Today, Orania.Berlin is run by Jennifer and Philipp Vogel — an internationally experienced hotelier duo who have created, with great warmth and personality, a place where classic elegance meets the charm of a true Berlin Kiez. Their motto: “We are serious but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.”
