Vogelsberger Wagyu
Premium Wagyu from German pasture-raised farming
- Own Wagyu breeding: Since 2008, the farm has been raising Japanese Wagyu cattle in the Vogelsberg region, making it one of the established pioneers of Wagyu production in Germany.
- From rearing to sales: The entire value chain – from breeding and slaughter to processing and marketing – is fully managed in-house.
- Animal welfare-focused pasture farming: The cattle are raised in cow-calf systems, with plenty of space to move, regional feed, and no growth enhancers.
- Direct sales with full traceability: Distribution via weekly markets, the farm itself and the online shop ensures close connection to the producer and complete transparency of origin.
Good to know
Vogelsberger Wagyu stands for a deliberately slower approach to meat production: the animals are reared at a slower pace and are slaughtered significantly later than in conventional systems. This extended rearing period, combined with extensive pasture farming, has a direct impact on quality and marbling. The result is a richly aromatic beef with a fine fat structure that clearly stands apart from standardised beef and is highly valued in premium gastronomy.
