Gut Hesterberg

Where origin, craftsmanship and flavour become one

Just 60 kilometres outside Berlin lies a place where quality, animal welfare and traditional butchery craftsmanship are lived every day: Gut Hesterberg. The family‑run estate in the Neuruppin region manages more than 1,000 hectares of agricultural and forest land and stands for food production in which transparency, sustainability and genuine enjoyment belong together.

The “Echt Havelländer Apfelschwein” – uniquely flavourful

Since 1 January 2023, the Echt Havelländer Apfelschwein has been produced exclusively for Havelland Express at Gut Hesterberg. This origin is more than a promise of quality – it is the result of a well‑thought‑out, animal‑friendly concept. The pigs receive a special feed including apple pomace, move freely in social groups and grow up with plenty of space and natural climate stimuli.

The result:

  • aromatic, finely marbled meat
  • high‑quality fat that provides outstanding flavour when cooked

Farm craftsmanship you can taste

In the estate’s own butchery, freshly processed products from the Echt Havelländer Apfelschwein are produced daily – based on traditional recipes and refined with natural spices and real beechwood smoke. Four generations of the Hesterberg family and around 90 employees combine experience, knowledge and care to create products with character.

This meat is ideal for premium gastronomy, catering or discerning private customers. Whether roast, neck, chop or shoulder – the marbling and aroma offer an exceptional culinary experience.
